Janine Biunno is a New York City based visual artist and archivist.
Janine's art practice is focused on analyzing and interpreting the semiotics of the built environment. Her work explores the subjective experience of perception and representation with regard to the architecture and infrastructure found in urban space. Janine's work also addresses how our general perception of physical space is continually altered due to the increasing influence of the digital realm.
As an archivist, Janine's focus is on the complex collections of varied studio and professional materials belonging to artists, architects, designers, as well as cultural heritage institutions.
